See more before you drill.
VEXRAD provides pre-drill subsurface intelligence using Atomic Dielectric Resonance (ADR) and Virtual Boreholes — adding a depth-resolved evidence layer between regional exploration targeting and physical drilling.
Finding a target is not the same as knowing what lies beneath it.
Modern mineral exploration can combine satellite imagery, geological mapping, geochemistry, gravity, magnetics, electromagnetic methods, seismic data and increasingly AI. These tools can identify prospective ground and rank anomalies. But a major uncertainty remains between selecting a surface target and committing capital to a drill hole.
Targets are uncertain
Multiple geological explanations can fit the same surface or geophysical anomaly. Exploration remains an inverse problem.
Drilling is selective
A borehole gives high-value ground truth at one location — but the decision about where to place it has to be made first.
The missing layer
VEXRAD is designed to add depth-resolved subsurface evidence at selected targets before expensive physical drilling.
A different measurement of the subsurface.
Atomic Dielectric Resonance (ADR) is a surface-deployed coherent pulsed electromagnetic sensing technology. The transmitted signal interacts with subsurface materials, and VEXRAD analyses the returning energy, frequency, dielectric and related response parameters to build a depth-resolved interpretation.
Acquire from surface
ADR measurements are collected non-invasively from selected surface locations without first drilling a borehole.
Analyse the response
Multiple ADR signal parameters are processed together to identify changes, contrasts and interpretable subsurface patterns.
Build a Virtual Borehole
The result is a depth-resolved profile intended to inform target ranking, geological interpretation and the next drill decision.
A borehole before the borehole.
A Virtual Borehole converts surface-acquired ADR measurements into a depth-referenced subsurface interpretation. Depending on the project, available calibration and quality of evidence, outputs can support interpretation of lithology, formation boundaries, structures, target intervals and mineralisation indicators.
Its purpose is not to replace drilling. Its purpose is to improve the decision about what deserves to be drilled.
New exploration technology has to earn trust.
VEXRAD reports findings according to the evidence supporting them. Where possible, ADR interpretations are compared against independent drilling, logs, assays or other ground truth.

Complement existing exploration. Don’t discard it.
VEXRAD is not positioned as a substitute for geology, geochemistry, remote sensing or established geophysics. The opportunity is to combine independent measurements so that exploration teams can reduce ambiguity before drilling.
Use ADR to help investigate
- Depth and character of subsurface changes
- Lithology and formation boundaries where evidence supports interpretation
- Structures and target intervals
- Mineralisation indicators
- Prioritisation between competing drill targets
- Brownfield extensions calibrated against existing holes
ADR does not guarantee
- Assay grade
- Resource or reserve estimates
- Orebody tonnage
- Commercial discovery
- That every geological setting is suitable
- That drilling is no longer required
SEARCH → RANK → SCAN → VIRTUAL BOREHOLE → DRILL
The strongest opportunity may be integration. Regional remote sensing and geological data can narrow the search area. AI and conventional geoscience can rank prospects. ADR can then investigate selected locations in depth before the drill tests the interpretation.
Greenfield exploration
Add another independent subsurface dataset to high-priority targets before committing to an initial drilling programme.
Brownfield exploration
Use existing drilling and geological control for calibration, then investigate extensions and untested targets.
Difficult targets
Assess whether ADR can add information where depth, access, cover or ambiguity make the next drilling decision particularly challenging.
Mineral exploration technology: the practical questions.
What is pre-drill subsurface intelligence?
It is additional geological or geophysical evidence gathered before committing to physical drilling. VEXRAD uses ADR measurements to create depth-resolved Virtual Boreholes intended to improve target evaluation and ranking.
Does a VEXRAD Virtual Borehole replace drilling?
No. Drilling remains the ground-truth test. A Virtual Borehole is designed to inform where to drill, what intervals deserve attention and whether one target appears more compelling than another.
Can ADR detect mineralisation?
ADR responds to electromagnetic and dielectric contrasts in the subsurface. VEXRAD has case studies where ADR-derived mineralisation indicators have been compared with drilling. Suitability is geology- and target-dependent, so project-specific evidence and calibration matter.
How does ADR work with AI and remote sensing?
They address different scales and information needs. Remote sensing and AI can help identify and rank prospective areas; ADR can then add depth-resolved measurements at selected ground locations before drilling.
What is the first step for a mineral exploration project?
Start with VEXRAD’s Project Fit Check. We review the target, geology, depth, existing geophysics and drilling information before recommending whether ADR is technically relevant.
Before you drill it, find out whether ADR can add useful evidence.
Send VEXRAD the project location, commodity, target depth and the geological or geophysical information you already have. We will assess whether the project appears suitable for ADR.
